Introduction
Xhjili maintains an anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) program designed to prevent identity fraud, underage gambling, and the improper use of funds. This policy governs how we verify customers, monitor activity, and comply with applicable laws and licensing requirements as a condition of using our services.
Scope and Objectives
This policy applies to all Xhjili accounts and all transactions conducted on the platform. Xhjili may request verification at any time and may apply enhanced due diligence for high‑risk activity or large transactions in accordance with regulatory obligations and licensing rules.
Verification Framework
Our AML/KYC framework rests on three core elements: identity verification, address verification, and verification of payment methods. Verification checks may be triggered during registration, prior to withdrawals, or in response to anomalous activity. We may restrict features or suspend access until verification is complete.
Identity Verification
- We require government‑issued photo identification. Acceptable documents include a passport, national identity card, or driver’s license. The document must be valid and clearly display the user’s full name, date of birth, and photograph. If a photo ID is not available, submission of a birth certificate is allowed with a clear, recent photograph of the user holding the birth certificate showing both the face and the document.
- Submissions must be clear scans or photographs with all edges and corners visible where applicable; colour copies are preferred to ensure legibility.
Proof of Address
- Proof of address documents must be dated within the last three months and display the account holder’s name and residential address. Acceptable items include utility bills, bank statements, or official government correspondence.
Payment Method Verification
Verification of a payment method may depend on the method used and may be updated to reflect changes in providers. The following requirements apply by method:
- Card payments: a copy of the front side of the card showing the cardholder name and the first six and last four digits; CVV must be redacted. The card used must belong to the account holder and the submission should not reveal full card numbers beyond the specified digits.
- E-wallets and similar accounts: a screenshot or statement confirming ownership, including the registered email address and account holder name.
- Bank transfers: a statement issued within the last three months showing the bank name, account number, and, where applicable, IBAN and BIC codes; may include a deposit confirmation if available.
- Pre‑paid vouchers: these payments do not require separate payment‑method verification beyond standard identity/address checks, subject to ongoing monitoring.
Age Verification
All customers must be at least 18 years old or the legal age applicable in their jurisdiction. If underage participation is suspected, the account will be suspended pending verification of age.
Enhanced Due Diligence
- For high‑risk customers or transactions, Xhjili may request additional documentation to establish the source of funds and source of wealth, along with enhanced transaction monitoring and further identity checks.
Data Protection and Privacy
Personal data collected for AML/KYC purposes will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and licensing requirements. Information is used solely for compliance, security, and regulatory purposes, and may be disclosed to authorities as required by law. We implement appropriate safeguards to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
Non‑Compliance and Account Restrictions
- Failure to complete or update verification may result in account restrictions, withdrawal delays, or account suspension or closure.
- We may report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities in accordance with legal obligations and licensing rules.
Document Submission and Processing
Documents can be uploaded through the secure account area. As a last resort, documents may be submitted by email from the registered email address. Submissions via live chat require the user to be logged in; documents sent without authentication will not be accepted. For withdrawal‑related verification, documents must be provided within 48 hours of the withdrawal request. We aim to complete the verification review within three (3) business days of receipt, with additional time possible in complex cases.
